National Scrapbook Day!

Hello Chickies! Every Last Scrap will be hosting a NSD party and crop at our store! The day will include:

1. 12 Hr Crop (10-10)
2. Make-N-Takes every 2 Hrs
3. Promos (4 everyone who spends over $25 not including tax and after discounts)
4. AND Goodie Bags 4 the croppers

The theme of the party/crop is Cinco de Mayo, so be prepared for a fiesta!

Unique Features at ELS

As a local scrapbook store, we have to differientiate ourselves from onlines stores and competitors.  We are constantly looking for ideas that we think our customers will love.

A couple of things we do differently!

1. We have a Dollar Wall... we have chipboard shapes, die cuts, trims, etc. all for a dollar.  We think that's a great deal!
2. Chipboard Album Bar... we have a bar where you can build your own chipboard album.  Pick and choose by the page to build your own mini album.  Just the right size and shape for your project!
3. Free crops during the week... Nope, we don't charge you a nickel for cropping during the day.  And on those Saturdays we don't already have a crop or class scheduled, well that's free too!
4. We ALWAYS say "Hello!" when you walk in the door.

UPDATE!

Well guys I know it been awhile since I have blogged, but I'll catch you up. First we started a new competition called Project in a Bag every month. Secondly we received ALOT of new things including Bobunny  Mama Razzi 2, Echo Park About a Boy, American Craft Yes line, and much more. This incoming Saturday (March 9, 2013) we have a Make-n-Take over the new STAMPENDOUS Encrusted Jewel Kit. (Picture -->)

Inspiration Challenge

It's a new year, so I thought maybe it would be fun to challenge you to create a project with an unconventional image.  I know I surf the 'net all the time looking for scrapbook, card, and papercrafting projects I can CASE.  But how fun would it be to take an image that has absolutely nothing to do with paper and make a project reminiscent of that unconventional picture.

So, I found this really cool picture of a runway fashion model.  The outfit is completely crazy and outlandish, but I can totally envision a card using the inspirational elements!    I'll be working on my project, and will try to get it posted shortly.  If you want to join me in the posting, email me a pic of your finished project to everylastscrap@gmail.com!

Hoping to Grow

Well, Every Last Scrap will be 6 months old in just a couple of weeks.  We have met a ton of great new people, and it's definitely been educational.  We are thankful for all of you who allow us to make the mistakes and learn the lessons of a new business owner!   As most of you know, it's a family affair - me, Mom, and Brooke are the only "employees" - but as we've journeyed through, a few lovely ladies have joined our little scrapping family (you know who you are!) 

The economy makes it challenging, and we are certainly working hard to stay in business.  Please give us your feedback and ideas on ways we can encourage our scrapping community to shop with us, instead of the big box stores.  Those darn 40% off coupons are hard to compete with!  :-)

A few things we plan to do after the first of the year:

Introduce monthly contests - we know we have talented customers and we want you to have the chance to show off!
Friends & Family discounts - we'll be providing our customers with little coupon cards to give to those scrappy friends and family who have yet to visit us.  When they come in for the first time and give us your name, you'll both get a discount!
Monthly Raffles - Details forthcoming, so watch our Facebook/Emails, but the plan is to assemble great gift baskets (worth at least $100) and you'll be able to buy tickets for just $2...no limit to the number of tickets you can buy!
